Practice, practice, practice

My teacher had to do something today so I didn’t have a lesson. She gave me homework so I can study until our next lesson next week, but I also decided to practice writing the kanji characters I’ve already learned.

My teacher has taught me around 50 characters already, but the only characters I can write confidently without thinking too much are 一, 二, 三, 四, 人, and 何.

I can read more kanji characters than I can write, but I personally believe that if you can only read something but cannot write it then you don’t really know it.

In my last lesson I asked my teacher not to teach me additional kanji until I remember at least half of what I’ve finished already. I have to practice a lot this week, not only because my teacher would probably expect something but also because I have expectations of myself too.
