Temperature
According to the weather app in my phone, it is 29 degrees in Nagaokakyo City right now. It isn’t as high as yesterday’s but I still don’t like it. A lot of people might think I’m used to hot weather because I’m from the Philippines, but my hometown is 1,500 meters above sea level so even in May, which is one of the hottest months in the Philippines, the maximum temperature is 25. Right now, it’s 21 degrees in my city.
It’s different in other places in the Philippines. It is 32 degrees in Manila right now, but it can go as high as 37 during this time of year. In Cebu, a popular tourist destination where people learn snorkeling, it is 32 degrees. In Tagaytay, another place in the Philippines popular for its relatively cooler climate, it is 26 degrees.
