The Ceiling Light Experience

I’ve lived in Japan for almost 7 years now, so I have a lot of experiences related to living in another country and living alone.

On Saturday I experienced something new to add to that list: changing my ceiling lights.

It’s a small and simple thing; but back home it is dad who always does things like replacing lights (and killing insects 😂😂), so doing something he always does made me feel as reliable as him. 💪🏼😂

Speaking of dad, it was his birthday on Saturday. If I’d told him I was able to change my ceiling lights on my own, I can imagine him saying “Of course you did. That’s an easy thing to do. What about (something more difficult to do), can you do that yet?” 😂

It’s not something that’ll make him proud, but I was very happy I could do it anyway. 😂
