48 Hours Later
According to the US’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the COVID-19 vaccines’ “side effects…go away within a few days,” so I continued to monitor my physical condition even though I felt fine the next 24 hours after my second shot.
Before going to bed last night I checked my body temperature and it was at 37.4 degrees. I didn’t feel feverish though, so I didn’t worry about it.
When I talked to my older sister a month ago, she said something like “Don’t worry about side effects with the Pfizer vaccine because you won’t get any.”
I thought she was just lucky because I heard that so many young people here have experienced intense side effects; but now that I’ve gotten my second shot and haven’t had intense side effects myself, I think now that she was right.
It made me curious though, so I’ve been asking my siblings and friends about what side effects they had after their second shot. This is what I found:
It’s interesting and I wonder if I simply know more Filipinos who didn’t have intense side effects and more Japanese who did!
