你好 or nǐ hǎo is “hello” in Chinese. There are around 1.2 billion native speakers of Chinese, which means that if you can greet in Chinese, you can greet more than 10% of the world’s population.
Hola is “hello” in Spanish. Although there are a lot of people in the world who learn English as a second language, Spanish is the 4th most popular second language in the world. There are also more native speakers of Spanish than English.
नमस्ते or namaste is “hello” in Hindi. It is usually not studied as a second language but it has a lot of native speakers in the world. Hindi is also the origin of shampoo and jungle.
