Back with Listening Homework!
Inari-juku is closed this week for its silver week holiday, so I decided to give my students optional listening homework like I did during the cram school’s last long holiday. This week all the songs are from my playlist. They are songs that I actually like and have listened to a lot of times.
Today’s song is Daddy Lessons from the amazing Beyoncé. The song is about a dad, but it reminds me of my mom and how she brought us up. She didn’t teach us how to use a gun 😂 😂, but I think she definitely taught all her daughters to be “tough girls.” She taught us a lot of things because she believed that we had to be able to take care of ourselves no matter what happens, and I think it’s one of the most important things I learned from her.
