Sleeping like a Bear

It’s usually difficult for me to wake up early in the morning, but recently it has become difficult for me to wake up even when it’s not early in the morning.

My sleepiness made me curious so I’ve been reading and I found out that one possible cause is less light during winter, which increases the desire to sleep.

I also learned of a disorder, called seasonal depressive disorder, which is related to lack of light in winter. Seasonal depressive disorder or SAD is a type of depression related to changes in season. Symptoms of SAD include having low energy, feeling depressed and having problems sleeping.

disorder – a physical or mental condition that is not normal or healthy

While reading articles about SAD, I remembered when my Indian friend told me that there is not enough sunlight in Japan. I didn’t really agree with her, but now that I’m having a very hard time waking up I’m starting to think that she might be right.
