Tonight I will have an early Christmas dinner with friends, and we will have turkey. There will be other dishes and Christmas cake for dessert, but I’m excited for the turkey the most.
Eating turkey for Christmas as a tradition started in Britain. It is believed that the first person in Britain to eat turkey for Christmas was the king at that time (1520s). Before that, people ate goose, peacock, or boar’s head on Christmas.
