Day 2: Shooting Star
The title of today’s story is ながれ星, which is shooting star in English.
I read the whole story, but, to be honest, I didn’t understand it at all because I don’t know most of the words. I had to translate all the first 15 words of the story.
After that, I lost interest because translating every word when you’re reading a story is not fun at all. Even after I translated the words, I didn’t understand what was happening to the three bear cubs on the grassland.
-
cub – a young fox, bear, or lion
-
grassland – a large open area covered with grass
I wonder why my teacher gave me this book to read last May when I knew less Japanese than I do now.
