Japanese Lesson: Starting Kanji

My teacher taught me ten kanji characters today: 一, 二, 三, 四, 五, 六, 七, 八, 九, and 十. Most of them aren’t difficult to write or pronounce but I think it will take me at least two or three weeks to memorize them because I haven’t memorized all the katakana characters yet. I didn’t really understand my teacher’s explanation about the two ways to read the kanji characters either. It was the end of the lesson when she taught me and my head was already filled and couldn’t take anymore information. 😅

Before learning the kanji characters, I learned 11 words and 4 phrases. Although I’m not going to try to remember all of them, I do want to remember しょくどう, くつ, きょしつ, ちか, and へや, so I have a lot of studying to do. I also have one page grammar homework, one page listening homework, and two pages writing homework.

I don’t dislike the homework and I know I have to do it (and even more) to get better but thinking about how busy it will make me makes me go a little crazy. 😵 I’m going to do my best to finish everything by next week.
