Energized!

Hello! It’s been a long time since I have written for this blog and the heat and humidity of summer in Kyoto still makes me want to hibernate; but I’ve had enough rest during the Obon holidays and I have prepared enough for my lessons this week, so I have time to write!

During the Obon holidays, I and my adult students had lunch together and some of my younger students had a board game party at the cram school. I planned the two gatherings to give my students a chance outside of our lessons to speak in English with other people.

Although they still used Japanese sometimes, I was glad that they all did their best to converse in English and I was happy to see everyone getting along. I don’t know if they had as much fun as I thought they had, but I plan to keep organizing events to get them together because my goal is to help them see the fun and importance of communicating in English.

I don’t have anything else to write, but I do have something prepared for this blog for the next few days and I think they’re great content; so, if you’re interested, please look forward to it!
